In observance of the DOT Memo Circular No. 2020-010 otherwise known as the 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗺 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, these are the following information and references: 𝟭. 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 What to submit? a. Valid certificate of DOT Accreditation or proof of recent application. b. Letter of intent to be recognized as a Muslim-friendly establishment. c. Halal certification or oath of undertaking to apply within 2 years of CoR grant. *DOT accreditation must have at least 6 months of remaining validity. 𝟮. 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Send an email to [email protected]. Attach scanned or digital copies of the requirements and use the subject line "Application for Muslim-friendly Accommodation Establishment Recognition." 𝟯. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 After filing, wait 5-10 business days for a response. During this time, the DOT inspection team will review the submitted documents before scheduling an on-site inspection. 𝟰. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Once the prescribed minimum requirements have been successfully complied with, the certificate of Recognition shall be issued by the DOT Inspection team. *A physical certificate will be sent to the establishment. 𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗬 The Validity Period shall be the same as the DOT-Accreditation certificate at the time of its issuance unless revoked. Should the DOT Accreditation certificate have less than 6 months of validity remaining, the establishment must submit proof of recent renewal.
