𝐌𝐀𝐘 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧 by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 57 issued in 1998. This year's theme challenge is "𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙤𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣." The City Government of Butuan encourages Butuanons to participate in activities promoting awareness on biodiversity management to conserve and protect our coastal and marine ecosystems for us and for our future generations. This month and beyond, let us show our concern for the need to sustainably manage our country's vital coastal and marine resources.
