(February 1, 2012) - City employees can now avail of the monetization of their leave credits after the City Budget Office has released appropriation for the same.
The Human Resource Management Division, headed by Ms. Tita P. Ty, HRM Officer III, is now expediting the leave applications to support the payroll for the said benefit.
Officials and employees in the career and non-career service whether permanent, temporary, casual or coterminuous, who have accumulated 15 days of vacation leave credits shall be allowed to monetize a minimum of 10 days, provided, that at least 5 days is retained after monetization and that a maximum of 30 days maybe monetized in a given year.
Monetization of 50% or more of the accumulated leave credits maybe allowed for valid and justifiable reasons such as
1.) Health, medical and hospital needs of the employee and the immediate members of his family;
2.) Payment of mortgages/loans ;
3.) Educational needs;
4.) Financial aid and assistance brought about by force majeure (such as typhoons, fire, quake)
However, the monetization of 50% or more shall be subject to availability of funds.
Meanwhile, the HRMD is also expediting the renewal of 950 job order workers, contract of service and consultancy for the period of January 1, 2012 to June 30, 2012. Notices of salary adjustment (NOSA) due to the implementation of the third tranche of the salary standardization law, effective Jan. 1, 2012, were also prepared.
Productivity incentive is expected to be released also on the first week of March 2012. (HRMD)
