Rate of J.O Workers Increased

Pursuant to Budget Memorandum No. 02-2010, City Mayor Democrito D. Plaza II has approved the following daily rates for job order workers who are already in service, effective January 4, 2010:

                From                               To

            P220.00                     P245.94         - for workers hired under Barangay Infra projects

            P233.00                     P260.47         - for workers hired under General Fund in 2009

            P254.00                     P283.95         - for workers hired for special projects requiring                                                                                   special skills

            P279.00                     P311.90         - for workers presently hired under the General                                                                                     Fund prior to 2009

The rate of the newly hired worker  this year shall remain at P233.00 per day.

As of December 31, 2009, there are 864 job order workers presently hired in the city government.

Last year, the HRM Division of the City Administrator's Office processed 265  job orders for the periods January 1 to June 30, 2009 and July 1 to December 31, 2009.
