Written by Romy Cortez |

With the implementation of the Performance Management System-Office Performance Evaluation System (PMS-OPES), a flagship program of the Civil Service Commission, the City Government of Butuan through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE)

headed by City Mayor Democrito D. Plaza II launched formally the Search for Best Employee in the Department/Office for 2010.

The Search shall be awarded in every rating period of the year to encourage and sustain the exemplary performance of all employees and determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the new rating system.

Criteria for the search are 70% based on the point system (individual performance points accomplished by the employee as prescribed by the office PMS-OPES) and 30% for courtesy and human relations. The employee who received the highest accumulated score based on these criteria shall be declared as the awardee.

A cash prise of P1,000.00 and plaque of recognition shall be given as incentive to the awardee in every department.
