The City Government of Butuan through the City Housing and Development Office once again distributed Certificates of Lot Awards to more or less 65 families. These families underwent normal process of application through the Committee on Lot awards, chaired by Hon. City Mayor Democrito D. Plaza, and given the chance to own their respective homelots under the City Government Lot Acquisition (CIGLA) Program.

 

The activity was held at Brgy Baobaoan Multi-purpose Hall last October 23, 2009 which was attended by the Mayor himself, together with his better half,  Maam Daisy Plaza Balangayan Butuan Program Chairman and members of the committee on Lot Awards.

 

According to the recipients who expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this noble undertaking wherein according to them, it is a dream come true, that they can own a place they can call their own to house their family.

 

Mayor Boy “Daku” Plaza said it is his vision to provide relocation to as much as all landless Butuanons  who encouraged everybod y to have a stake in the development of their community by religiously paying their monthly lot amortization. Engr. Lorden G. Vismanos, CHDO Head , also ex plained that the program has its rules and regulations and reminded them to be responsible in their obligation to avoid forfeiture of the project.

 

Maam Daisy Plaza expressed her jubilation over the continuation of her pet project, announcing that during her incumbency in 2001-2004, marks the beginning of a massive housi ng project which is “an answered prayer and a dream come true”, having envisioned a home for all Butuanons.
