High-five for Five Ratified Project MOAs

Different service sectors were given their much needed assistance as the 12th Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 4th Regular Session conducted on July 26, 2010 enacted five resolutions to authorize the City Government’s entry into memoranda of agreement with different entities for five different endeavors. They are the following:

A. Resolutions authorizing the City Mayor to enter into Memoranda of Agreement with the Department of Agriculture, Regional Field Unit XIII (DA-RFU XIII):

 1) SP Resolution No. 56-2010 - for the construction of “Purok 7 to Purok 13 Bit-os Farm-to-Market Road” at Barangay Bit-os. Total project cost is agreed at Three Million and Three Hundred Thousand Philippine Pesos (PhP3,300,000.00);

 2) SP Resolution No. 57-2010 - for the construction of “TF-1 Tungao Farm-to-Market Road” at Barangay Tungao. Total project cost is agreed at Two Million and Two Hundred Thousand Philippine Pesos (PhP2,200,000.00);

 3) SP Resolution No. 58-2010 - for the construction of “Purok 5 Kinamlutan Farm-to-Market Road” at Barangay Kinamlutan. Total project cost is agreed at Two Million and Two Hundred Thousand Philippine Pesos (PhP2,200,000.00);

 B. SP Resolution No. 59-2010, authorizing a MOA with Action for Nurturing Children and their Environment (ANCE). This agreement focuses on implementing programs and projects to protect women and children from human trafficking, especially in eight identified depressed areas, namely: Obrero, Ong Yiu, Doongan, Ambago, Fort Poyohon, Bading, San Ignacio, and Holy Redeemer.

 C. SP Resolution No. 60-2010, authorizing a MOA with Educational Research and Development Assistance Foundation, Inc. (ERDA). This is for the annual renewal of the City’s taking advantage of ERDA’s Educational Assistance Program, of which a total of 200 children are beneficiaries.

 With these undertakings properly implemented, the city shall have the answers to its desire for the betterment of services in the sectors of agriculture, protection of women and children, and education.
