OFFICE OF THE CITY POPULATION

General Function:

Serve as the technical and implementing arm of the Local Government Unit for the implementation of the Population and Development Program.

Office Function:

Ensure the inter relation of population dimensions in the development of policies, plans and programs of various development sectors.
Develops a Comprehensive Programs Plan consistent with the National Population Programs Plan and Deve-lopment Plan in coordination with GO’s, NGO’s and other agencies.
Recommends measures & policies to ensure the deli-very of basics services and provisions of adequate facilities.
Implements Population Programs and Project within the context of promoting family welfare, economic growth and sustainable development.

The City Population Office is the technical and infor-mation resource agency on Population and Develop-ment and the leading strategic planner on policy & programs activities.

Objectives:

Implements the Population and Development Manage-ment Program that includes POPDEV Integration, Res-ponsible Parenthood & Family Planning with GED pers-pective, Adolescent Health & Youth Development Pro-gram.

Conducts training and seminars on the Integration of POPDEV in the City and Barangays.

Develops Barangay Information Profile for the Ba-rangay Development Plan.
