Objectives:

Provide Primary Health Care Services to the cons-tituents of Butuan City. Provide Environmental Services especially in the Commercial districts of the City; the public Markets and industrial establishments Provide necessary manpower to man the different health facilities Provide the Local Chief Executives and SP technical advice on public health which maybe needed in policy formulation on program im-plementation.

The City Health Office headed by Dr. Josephine Chua registered a large number of turn–out of clients who availed free medical consulations and free medicines totaling to four thousand three hundred forty one (4,341) residents in the recent barangay visitations conducted by Hon. Mayor Democrito D. Plaza II...

Programs:

Maternal and child health services: includes EPI, Under Six and Nutritions, Pre-natal and post natal services and Family Planning Communicable diseases: Control of Diarrheal diseases (CDD), Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI), National Tuberculosis Program (NTP), Schis-tosomiasis, Malaria, Filaria, Dengue, Sexually Trans-mitted Diseases (STD), Leprosy Non-communicable Diseases Control: Life-style related diseases such as Diabetes, Red Cap (preventive nephrology), Cardio-vascular diseases (CVD), Hypertension (HPN), Cancer Medical and Dental Services - preventive and curative Environmental Sanitation - Toilets, Water Supply, Food and Industrial establishments such as Hotels, Lodging houses, Restaurants and Other Manufac-turing/processing firms and other public places.
