General Function: Initiate, review and recommend changes in the policies and objectives, plans and programs, procedures and practices in Infrastructure Development and Public Works in general of the LGU. Objectives: Responsible for the administration, management and provision of services on organizational operations in developing and implementing personnel action; Undertakes the activities on property and supply pro-curements, storing and safekeeping and inventory reports of related matters; Exercises the preparation of department budget, con-trol of fund obligations, releases of allotment advice, expenditures and remittances; Exercises authority on records-keeping whether cen-tralize or decentralize; Responsible for the preparation and revision of engi-neering plans, specifications and designs of city roads, bridges and building facilities; Performs survey work on road right-of-ways, donations & quit claims, buildings, streets, drainage, and related development plan of the city; Provides services in the preparation of program of works, both rural and urban barangays. Responsible for the formulation of policies, plans, programs and standards for implementation of the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects and facilities, both horizontal & vertical, whether undertaken by administration & contracts; Undertakes the construction and maintenance of all waterworks; Undertakes the installation, repair, and maintenance of street lighting facilities, government buildings and e-quipment of the city government. Responsible for the preparation of electrical plans, specifications and designs of all government facilities, projects, as well as the final connection of supply or utilization equipment to utility lines. Conducts preliminary and final inspection to on-going and newly completed government buildings and equipment of the city government. Provide electrical services in the preparation of program of works, street lighting installations, and both rural and urban barangays. Exercise authority conformably to administer the provision of the electrical engineering law R.A. 7920, that may deemed proper promotions of safety devices to safeguard the life, health and property and public welfare of the inhabitants. Coordinates in the energization program beautification of the city government. Manages and supervises equipment pool division covering extensive field and shop inspection in all areas of the mechanical and equipment jurisdiction of the city; Prepares plans and programs for the maintenance, care and rehabilitation of equipments; Plans of an orderly system of equipment releases and schedule servicing of vehicles. |
Office Function: To be able to provide services on the organizational operation of the department relatives to personnel actions, records managements, budget preparations, property and supply managements and other related matters; To be able to provide services in preparation and revision of civil engineering plans, specification and designs of city road, bridges, buildings and facilities, survey works on road-right of ways, donation and quit claims, building, streets, drainage and related development plan of the city; to be able to formulates policies, plans programs in implementing the construction of infrastructure project and facilities; To provide maintenance services of the existing infrastructure project and facilities such as: roads, bridges, buildings, drainage system, dams, ports, harbors, water supply, irrigation and the likes including its improvement in addition thereto; To provide services on materials testing and quality control of construction materials in accordance to strength and measure of components; To provide services in the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical and electrical equipment of motor vehicles light and heavy moving equipment and services vehicles.
