OFFICE OF THE CITY ECONOMIC ENTERPRISES

Office Mandate:

The City Economic Enterprises Department has been created to make available to the general public, facilities in terms of market, transport, abattoir, and other service. Behind this services are efforts programmed to generate revenues to make its purpose for being, doable and sustainable, with "extra" returns for the City projects.

Objectives:

The City Economic Enterprises Department is geared to act as catalyst with the end view of delivering the basic services needed by its varied users/clientel and to evince the financial sustainability of these enterprises. It is essentially concerned with the efficient and effective mangement of public markets, including flea market; bus, jeepney and tricycle terminals, abbattoir and auction market. To boot, it is tasked to administer completely the City's memorial park.

Office Function:

The City Economic Enterprises Department is responsible for the conduct and adoption of sound management methods, the application of the basic principles or organization, marketing, finance and public administration necessary for the effective stewardships of the city's economic enterprise units such as Public Markets, Slaughterhouse & Livestock Auction Market, Bus, Jeepney & Tricycle Terminals, Playgrounds, Cemetery, Public Paks and all other enterprise units that maybe created by local ordinance.
