General Function:

Provide technical assistance and support to the City Mayor.
Develop plans and strategies, and upon approval thereof by the City Mayor.

Prepare and recommend for consideration of the Sangguniang Panlungsod the Architectural Plan Design for the City or part thereof.

Review and recommend for appropriate action of the City Mayor and Sangguniang Panlungsod the Architectural Plans and Design submitted by Governmental and non Governmental entities or individuals.

  Vision/Mission:

To uplift, upgrade and make the City beautifully develop in the near future to invite more investors foreign and local to put-up more big commercial and industrial esteablishment/advised all staff and personnel to work hard hand in hand in his/her assigned works and assignments.

 Objectives:

To help the City Government of Butuan conduct the proper implementation of the provision of the National Building Code to enhance fees to our clients that could help generate its income. To look for architectural plans for the good of the city developments.

 Act as building official of the City, and as much implement the provisions of the building code.

Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by Law or Ordinance.

Act as the chief of all personnel/the sections/divisions of the office.
Approved and disapproved building permits applied by clients in the office concerned.

Programs:

Conducted amnesty program for the application of building permits without a plan preparation for buildings without permits to all people residing in the city.
