NEWLY-APPOINTED LUPON SECRETARIES TAKE OATH OF OFFICE
(February 14, 2012) - The City Government of Butuan continues to strengthen its drive to widen the services in every barangay of its locality.
This is the basis for the formation of Butuan City Lupon Secretaries Association (BCLSA) which is composed of all the secretaries in its eighty six (86) barangays. Last February 10, 2012, twenty (20) Barangay Cluster Leaders took oath as newly-elected officials of the said association at the City Mayor’s Office Conference Room 2. Through their Pledge of Commitment, they affirmed their support to the programs of the City Government of Butuan and to provide good quality service to the people in their respective areas. OIC Mayor Lawrence Lemuel H. Fortun administered the oath to the Lupon Secretaries.
DILG City Director Romeo Solis disclosed that the Barangay Lupon Secretaries play a big role considering that a lot of cases are already solved at the barangay level, decreasing the number of cases forwarded to the Court. – Maria Luisa Dianah Z. Generalao/CMO-PIO
