Training Forum for Barangay Captain and Secretaries

A one day "Training Forum" for the 86 Barangay Captains and Secretaries was successfully undertaken by the City Civil Registrar's Office last February 22, 2008 to commemorate the month long celebration of the Civil Registration Month at the People's Hall, City Hall Building, this city.

The seminar was conducted to form part of the education campaign and guide to barangay officials in complying some forms within their level especially that majority of these recipients come from the poorest of the poor sector of society.

Oftentimes, these applicants would travel to and fro from the remote areas only to find out that their documents are lacking. The barangay officials are taught the proper rudiments of filling up an official registration form such as birth certificates and other forms. This way, the parents need not go to the City Civil Registrar's Office to fill-up the registration form but instead complete and submit the form in their respective barangays.
