House Lot Awards Distributed by Mayor Plaza

Another Twenty Four lots were awarded by Mayor Democrito D.  Plaza II to twenty four families as beneficiaries of the continuing housing program of the city government of Butuan last February 22, 2008 at Butuan New Villages Phase I at Barangay Mahay, this city, as part of the Butuan Expanded Program under the City Housing and Development Office headed by Engineer Lorden G. Vismanos. Majority of the beneficiaries considered of utmost relocation priority of the city government are those houses directly affected by the flood prone areas considered to be in danger zones.

The relocation sites in the city of Butuan have been a great success through the joint and concerted efforts of the city government and its stakeholders and partners in donating in terms of financial consideration and construction of housing units in various relocation sites of the city like the Philippine Council on Evangelical Churches represented by Bishop Ephraim Tendero, Kadiyawan Inc. represented by Mr. Rodrigo Lamigo, and Alliance of Christian Development Agencies.

According to Mayor Plaza, senators Hon. Francisco Pangilinan and Hon. Manny Villar are very much willing to help the city government in the construction of additional houses.
